The Book That Changed Your Life

18 Mar

I need to know what it is!

Friends, I’d like for you to recommend a book for me. It could be your favourite childhood book, or a book that’s changed your perspective on life, or just a book that you think I’d enjoy reading (only serious recommendations though, please).

And my promise is to read everyone’s book recommendation. I’m on a crusade to fall in love with reading again. I think getting my friends’ personal recommendations is a great way to start.

Can’t wait to hear them!!!

Thanks in advance. =)

    Fifth Business – Robertson Davies

It’s what made me decide at the last minute to choose engineering when I had been planning to go into Life Science the entire time.

You need some knowledge in Jungian Psychology to appreciate it though.

OMG I love Fifth Business, too! Although I have no clue what aspect of the book could’ve possibly made Colin want to pursue engineering over life sci XD

hmm…a book that left a profound impression on me when I first read it in high school is Jane Eyre. I found myself being able to relate her really well although our life circumstances were vastly different.

Yunjie: Books are powerful that way. They affect each person differently. 😛

Great suggestions, keep ’em coming! =D

Actually, I’ve already read Fifth Business. But perhaps it’s worth another read, since it’s been 7 years since I’ve read it.
